Wow, a lot of ...

Wow, a lot of the people reviewing here have weird expectations for a New York hotel. First of all, you get what you pay for. The Frederick is a great little boutique hotel option. The rooms are really small, yes, but it’s exactly what you need. You have the option to upgrade to a larger room if that’s a concern. If you want anything larger, shell out the extra $300 a night for a more upscale hotel. Oh that’s not an option? Didn’t think so. The beds are super comfy. The bathrooms are clean and nice. The staff is friendly. And you can’t beat the convenience of having the subway stop just outside the front door. It’s not perfect, but it’s exactly what you need. There are also a lot of great neighborhood amenities. Some of my favorite finds are Takahatchi Bakery and Laughing Man Cafe. The beauty of staying here is staying in a slightly quieter part of town where you feel like you can actually take a deep breath at the end of the day. Great value for the money
