I love this hotel!!!! I always stay here when visiting friends and family, and I am always so happy I did! The front desk, management , and everyone I have encountered have been so kind and accommodating ; especially Tony, who is in the lobby and just so wonderful! I love the peaceful ,super clean rooms; the low key vibe, and now even room service. I have been staying here since the 90's (before it was even the frederick) and it just keeps getting better and better. I can't wait to return

Very good hotel but tiny rooms with little sound insulation from the hall
I stayed here for three nights. I stayed here because of the location - it was convenient to my activities in the city. I found the staff to be excellent. They were attentive, polite, and warm. The Serafina restaurant is also excellent. The common areas are nice, they offer complimentary wine on Friday and Saturday evenings, and the linens and finishes in the rooms are high end. But the rooms are SO SMALL. I mean, I have stayed in hotels in NYC before so I know what to expect. But still, it is really inconvenient if you have more than one person staying in the room. There is nowhere to place luggage/clothing other than the floor - oh, and a TINY closet maybe 18" across that is not long enough to hang a dress or men's sport coat, and not deep enough to hang more than a few items. If they could add a wall hook or two, that problem would be solved. But I hated having all my items on the floor. Also, every time another guest enters or exits their room you'll hear it loud and clear. The door latches are loud and require some force to latch. Not a dealbreaker, but definitely something I noticed

Quiet, Cosy, Great Location
I love staying at this hotel - it's my preference when in NYC. I find even low floor, street-facing rooms to be pretty quiet, with only the occasional car music drifting up from below.. The rooms aren't that large but aren't tiny either and have everything I'd need plus personality and hospitality dept keeps everything nice and well-kept. Starbucks right next door and quite a nice amount of food options within a block or two. Love this place and would recommend although I selfishly don't want it to become too too popular and be booked up next time I want to stay! ;-

Love this place and the people that work here!
I have stayed at The Frederick Hotel in downtown Manhattan several times while visiting my son. I love staying there for many reasons. The location is perfect, the rooms are extremely comfortable and the staff goes beyond their the call of duty to make sure everyone is happy. Checking in with either Victor or Dea at the desk is always a pleasure. Next is getting help with your bags to your room and that could be either Tony, Tinji or Javier. Again, always a pleasure. All the staff greet you with a smile and make you feel so good. I usually visit my son every 6 months and I always look forward to staying at The Frederick Hotel. I highly recommend it
