What Guests Are Saying About The Frederick Hotel

IMHO A high end 3star or a low end 4stat hotel, in a very good location. Recently renovated and very clean but the rooms are tiny and nothing special inside. The bathrooms in regular rooms are the smallest I’ve experienced in NYC. The “free” WiFi is super slow, so you will need to upgrade anyway. Staff are polite, but not “warm”. I’m in NYC every Six weeks and I will likely forgot about my stay here within 6 months.

Service is pretty awful. Stayed here a bunch of times -rooms are hit or miss. Last time had to wait for a room which wasn't ready at 6pm and was given one with broken A/C after waiting for the check. Moved into another room w/broken AC. Check-in staff seemed like they had better things to do than fix the issues.

Very nice location next to the subway and near popular tourist destinations in Manhattan. Cute lobby, nice bar, cute room, but small. No coffee in the room!? Really close to being quite the gem, but it has misses that seem to be easily fixed. Leaves you a slightly bit frustrated. Turns out there is free coffee provided in the restaurant lobby next door, however we were never told that at check-in for our three night stay. Really average customer service. Some people were great, some were not. Not told about coffee. No grab-and-go breakfast as advertised. Had to ask about the deal mentioned on the website when booking. The trash wasn’t taken out during housekeeping for our last night. Shoddy wifi. No help with wifi. The water from other rooms was EXTREMELY loud in our room and when we communicated that, it was suggested it was the outside street… rude. The bathroom door lock broke during our stay (they fixed it very promptly, but it all just starts to add up). Kicking the above list off, they also never responded to my email before we arrived. It’s so close to being a wonderful stay, but the steps to make it wonderful just aren’t taken.
