How do I get to the South Street Seaport / Seaport District?
Getting to the seaport from Lower Manhattan is easy via the free Downtown Connection bus, which offers service from Chambers Street and West Broadway, steps from The Frederick Hotel, to Fulton Street and the Seaport District. The bus is also a great way to check out the sights of Lower Manhattan, with stops along the Hudson River, New York Harbor, and the East River.
Can I take a cruise from the South Street Seaport?
Yes! Water taxi rides and cruises are one of the more popular tourist attractions and fun ways to see NYC landmarks. Taking off from Pier 16, a number of companies offer cruises to landmarks like the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, and the Freedom Tower. You can also take a ferry to Brooklyn's hip DUMBO neighborhood from the pier.
