The upbeat surf rock/twee elements of the band are deliberately cut with Skys unflinchingly gentle and prayerful lyrics to tell stories of queerness and transness with values heavily based in the power of community, compassion, and love.ResistorResistor has been banging around New York City (and on guitars, drums and bass) for the last 12 years. Founded by singer/guitarist, Doug Halsey and bass player Larry Kanter, the band plays a heady brand of post-punk, indie-style rock with a clear emphasis on songwriting.
