Similar Kind Similar Kind is an indie pop band from Norwalk, CT. It originated as just a few friends jamming in a garage and has blossomed into a five piece band playing shows all over the US. Similar Kind has played with acts such as Sunflower Bean, Bad Bad Hats, Hot Flash Heat Wave, No Vacation dance-ready synth-pop equal parts R. In 2022 the band released a brand new EP Commercial Break. Wally Wallys music is informed as much by rock and pop as by classical, choral, jazz, bossa nova, and folk as eclectic as the friendships that define it. Wally got its start in 2014. Born and raised in New Haven, Connecticut, brothers Teo and Lucas Hernandez, and lifelong friend Alex Blair have been singing, writing and recording music together since childhood. New Yorkers and drummers Alex Yoo and Kabir Adhiya-Kumars syncopated joy drives Wallys dream pop. Bassist Samantha Reiss drives the music with her unique sense of melody and lyricism. Miles Keingstein and Declan Sheehy-Moss form a wild and versatile horn section. The groups combination of effortless harmonies, ethereal arrangements, and timeless songwriting is reminiscent of Stereolab, The Beach Boys, Cocteau Twins, and MGMT. Trophy Wife Trophy Wife -the brain child of twenty-three year old Newtown, Connecticut native McKenzie Iazzetta- is an indie rock band currently based in Brooklyn, NY. Started in Allston, MA in 2018, Trophy Wife has grown and evolved their sound as a staple in the Boston DIY scene. They have received press from Penny Mag, The Boston Hassle, Wack Mag and had radio performances on WTBU and WERS.
