Julian Velard isIn The Middle Of Something NYC Album Release Show w/ Special Guest TBABeing middle aged sucks. Youre not young anymore, so no one cares about your potential. Youre not old enough to have any real wisdom. Add two young children, a decade long marriage, and a marginal career to the mix, and its enough to reduce you to writing a one man show. After a lifetime of trying to make his musical mark, Julian fights his impending irrelevance by performing original songs about the existential problems he faces as a 44 year old father, husband, and never-has-been. Julian Velards musical stylings and comedic timing have made him a fixture in both the music and comedy scenes in his native America and have created cult followings overseas in the UK and The Netherlands. His music initially took hold a decade ago, where praise from The Guardian, Time Out London, and The Sunday Times led to a major labor record deal. Hes toured internationally alongside Jamie Cullum, Paul Carrack, and Goldfrapp, and he has shared the stage with a host of comedians including Will Ferrell, Reggie Watts, Paul Scheer, and Jack McBrayer. His ability to transition seamlessly between both worlds has led to regular appearances on The Howard Stern Show and NPRs Ask Me Another. He has been named artist-in-residence at the prestigious Joes Pub at The Public Theater in New York City, and his live show was named one of the best of 2020 by Broadway World. Velard has written music and lyrics of Pop acts, commercials, and the Internet, including songs for UK sensation Olly Murs, Wix.com, New York Knicks, Buzzfeed, Audible,Google, Aldi UK, and The New Republic. His works has been featured in Mashable.
