NYC's Big Lazy has flourished for over 2 decades, playing their singular brand of crime jazz and highway twang from dive bars to The Whitney Museum of American Art. On October 15, 2019 Big Lazy will release their sixth full length album, Dear Trouble, on Checkered Past Records and Tasankee Records. Dear Trouble dwells in a landscape of gritty yet elegant noir Americana. With sparse instrumentation, the trio creates evocative musical narratives with an undeniable sense of place. With a nod towards classic guitar instrumentals and a fiery performance style, the new album captures the essence of the trio's legendary live shows. Dear Trouble features NYC luminaries Marc Ribot, Steven Bernstein, Peter Hess (Philip Glass ensemble) and Marlysse Rose Simmons (Miramar). The release show on November 8th will include guests Steven Bernstein, Peter Hess and Marlysse Rose Simmons.
